Author Guidelines

The following guidelines for prospective authors apply:
1. Papers must concern with fields of Syari’ah.
2. Articles should be original, research-based, unpublished and not under review for possible publication in other journals.
3. All articles should be sent to OJS (Open Journal System) at http://jurnaliainpontianak.or.id/index.php/almaslahah.
4. The title of the article, the name of its author or authors, email address, and institution are on the top of article.
5. All submission must include 150-200 words abstract and 3-5 keywords. The abstract of research paper should contain title, purpose, method, and research finding. Meanwhile the abstract of non-research paper includes title, purpose, and discussion.
6. Framework of conceptual article are; title/topic, name of author, abstract, key words, introduction / preliminary, discussion, closing, bibliographical reference.
7. Framework of the result of research are; title/topic, name of author, abstract, key words, introduction / preliminary, method, result and discussion, closing, bibliographical reference.
8. Article is writed on Indonesia or foreign languages (Arabic or English) with qualified as technical guidelines writing that well and truly.
9. Papers length is 18-20 pages, A4, 1,5 spasi, Microsoft Word, Time New Roman and time new Arabic for sentences of arabic, and font 12.
10. All submission must include 150-200 word abstract and 3-5 keywords. The abstract of research paper should contain title, purpose, method, and research finding. Meanwhile the abstract of non-research paper includes title, purpose, and discussion. Abstract should be written into Indonesia and English languages.
11. The length of a book review is minimum of 750 words and maximum of 1000 words. A reviewer may choose a book on various issues in syari’ah studies both in Indonesia and English language.
12. Bibliographical reference must be noted in footnote and bibliographical according to al-Maslahah. i.e.:
a. Book: Al-Jaziri, al-Fiqh ala al-Madhahib al-Arba’ah, Juz I (Beirut: Dar al-Fikri, 1986), 35-36.
b. Translate book: Yusuf Qardawi, Hukum Zakat, terj. Salman Harun dkk. (Bogor: Pustaka Litera AntarNusa, 2004), 97.
c. Holy book: Qs. al-Maidah (5): 6. Perjanjian Baru, Mathius. 3-7.
d. Article in Journal: Moh. Imron Rosyadi, “Problematika Penetapan Kalender Hijriah: Studi Terhadap Pemikiran Mohammad Ilyas tentang Unifikasi Kalender Islam Internasional”, Jurnal al-Ahkam, Volume 8, Nomor 1 (Surakarta, Maret 2010), 20-21.
e. Artikel in Newspaper: Harifin A. Tumpa, “Upaya Peninjauan Kembali yang Berulang Kali”, Kompas, 10 Januari 2015, 6.

g. If the writer will quote again, write the author of book and one word from the title of book / article / thesis / dissertation, example: Al-Jaziri, al-Fiqh…, Juz I, 37.
h. Internet: T. Djamaluddin, Mencari Solusi Penyatuan Hari Raya; Iptek Harus Sesuai Syari’at (http://t-djamaluddin.spaces.live.com, diakses, 17 Agustus 2015).

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
