AUTHOR GUIDE LINES

Author Guidelines
The following guidelines for prospective authors apply:
1. Papers must concern with fields of Syari’ah.
2. Articles should be original, research-based, unpublished and not under review for possible publication in other journals.
3. All articles should be sent to OJS (Open Journal System) at http://jurnaliainpontianak.or.id/index.php/almaslahah.
4. Meanwhile the abstract of non-research paper includes title, purpose, and discussion.
5. Framework of the result of research are; title/topic, name of author, abstract, key words, introduction / preliminary, result and discussion, closing, bibliographical reference.
6. Article is write on Indonesia or foreign languages (Arabic or English) with qualified as technical guidelines writing that well and truly.
7. Papers length is 18-20 pages, A4, 1,5 space, Microsoft Word, Time New Roman and time new Arabic for sentences of arabic, and font 12.
8. The length of a book review is minimum of 750 words and maximum of 1000 words. A reviewer may choose a book on various issues in sharia studies both in Indonesia and English language.

9. Bibliographical reference must be noted in footnote and bibliographical according to the Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition (fullnote). Display citation as footnote.

 PUBLICATION FEE

Al-Maslahah does not charge APCs, submission charges, or other fees. All processes of article publication are free of charge.


SUBMISSION PREPARATION CHECKLIST

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced, consisting of 3.000-8.000 words; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
