He is also active member of Rabithah Ma’ahad Islamiyah (RMI) PBNU and team member of Character Education in Higher Education Program by Kemenristek Dikti. He has published several academic articles in several journals and newspaper focusing on his areas of interest; religious studies, pesantren studies, terrorism and radicalism, character education, and educational technology.
